I'd love to dress the whole family in a "theme" for Halloween, but it's so much work! This year my youngest will dress up as a hobbit, my 6'5" son would make a great Gandalf... I'd go as Tauriel if I could find the time to make the costume.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll dress up as a sexy police officer, complete with short skirt and handcuffs. No, only joking! That's not me at all!!! I usually dress as a farmer because I can wear jeans, a flannel shirt, and straw hat. Last year I went to a party dressed as a 50s girl with a poodle skirt i'd worn in a high school dance recital, Oxford, and keds. I felt like a dork, though, next to all the women in sexy Halloween costumes!

ReplyDeleteI'm a 350lb man, so naturally I'd dress up as Khal Drogo, with painted abs and other painted muscles.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be me.....30 years younger! I would start my book instead of waiting until I retired!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably be a wizard, like from Harry Potter. Would love for you to take a look again at my hopefully improved 5 pages. Still working on what you critiqued years ago.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to dress up as Daenerys from Game of Thrones. I'd love her confidence, presence and wardrobe for a day!
ReplyDeleteAt a recent Norwescon we had the honor of George RR Martin attending and reading his work. There were some amazingly beautiful Deanerys costumes amongst the crowd. Good choice!
DeleteGranddaughter was given a costume of the Grand Reaper. She makes a better princess. I would be her Fairy God Mother. If wishes come true, I'd love a critique.
ReplyDeleteI asked my facebook friends, and got three different suggestions that involve mermaids. I would love to dress up as one of them. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIf I were to dress up for Halloween I would go as Professor Snape from the Harry Potter series.
ReplyDeleteMy "dream costume" for Halloween would be Grandmother Owl from "Gwinna" by Barbara Berger. I would create a full bountiful cape, and appliqué the creatures of the forest in the lining, using velvet and silk...my hair is already streaked with grey, so no need for much, other than adopting an expression of wisdom... (I have 5 kids, I've been known to act wise... on occasion).
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when Halloween was my favorite holiday-it even trumped Christmas. The first time I did not want to dress up for Halloween, I realized I was getting old. When I stopped giving out candy to the cute children in the neighborhood, I realized I was old and cranky. Now I realize I like being old and cranky-it is a privilege I have earned. So for Halloween I will dress as I do everyday in jeans and a T-shirt...I will be the cranky old woman down the street-a very scary costume indeed, for one day you too will by that woman.
ReplyDeleteI won't be dressing up this year, but I have showed up at parties as Huckleberry Finn, an overgrown baby, an organ-grinder's monkey, and a lobster.
ReplyDeleteIf I dressed up I think I'd be a pumpkin this year. Perhaps with a happy face on one side and a scary face on the other.
ReplyDeleteIf I were dressing up it would be Darth Vader or Iron Man
