I love that September is a time for new beginnings: fresher, less humid air, newly sharpened pencils, notebooks waiting to be filled, and time to get things done!
ReplyDeleteSeptember is one of my favorite months of the year! Cooler temps, kids in school, a crisp-ness creeping in that heralds the change of seasons... what's not to love?
ReplyDeleteSeptember used to be very hectic with 3 kids starting school and all the associated sports and activities, but with them all grown up now, I can slow down and enjoy the cooler temps, beautiful fall colors and the peaceful feeling of a slow descent into winter.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is the beginning of summer in Australia, not that we had much of a winter with some days over thirty degrees celsius, 86F. Sweat will prickly down my back all day, everyday. At night a cool breeze will blow up the river and the kookaburra will laugh in the old gum tree as I toss in my sweat drenched sheets.
ReplyDeleteI like the feeling of possibility. September in CT is an in-breath ready to exhale fall...or perhaps we will just jump to winter! You never know.
ReplyDeleteSpringtime. I love watching the parrots in the flowering gum trees that line our street.
ReplyDeleteNow what I hate about September is that I don't know what the heck a rafflecopter widget is. That's me three post up, the complaining Aussie. But I don't see any rafflecopter, drones or other digital avionics. I got the link from the newsletter so I guess I'm a registered person.
ReplyDeleteThe widget is the box above that allows you to enter the contest. You have to actually log in with FB or email (the buttons are right there at the bottom). I always double check to make sure everyone who commented is entered before I randomly generate the winner, but the software does require that additional step :)
DeleteAh! you mean that great huge box that says rafflecopter. Got it
DeleteSept is a deep breath and a long exhale.
ReplyDeleteI'm a New Englander and the transition from summer to autumn is such a beautiful, sensory experience here. September is the gateway to my favorite time of year.
ReplyDeleteSeptember equals renewed enthusiasm and more time to pursue my writing now that my kids are back in school.
