Writing Prompt: The Free Write: Never Say Never

By Janice Hardy, @Janice_Hardy

This week’s prompt is a free write, so take the seed below and run with it. It doesn’t have to turn into anything (unless you want it to, of course), just let the words flow and see where they go.

Continue this opening sentence:

There were many things I swore I’d never do.

Write as much or as little as you’d like.

  1. Things like running with the bulls or sky-diving, but other things on my list, though less harrowing, were no less terrifying.

    1. And now this, the most terrifying, and it had never crossed my mind.

  2. "But Daddy" my 5-year old said as she pointed. "Mommie's too sick. See?"

I glanced at my wife in bed. The nearby trash bin was loaded with crumpled tissues. She sneezed again. Then I looked at the outfit & accessories laying on the bed.

With these cop's calves & arms? I'd rather take my chances with the worst crooks.

"Pink is the new blue" sniffle. "Just get rid of that mustache & you'll blend in with the rest, Dear" she said.

    "In a tutu? Really."
