Interested in a Critique? Or a Signed Book?

There are several wonderful charities running auctions right now. I'm participating in Write Hope and Crits for Water, and have donated a signed book and a few critiques. I urge you to go see what these folks are all about and do what you can to help these causes.

Write Hope is a group of Kidlit writers who are auctioning kidlit books, critiques, and other prizes for donation to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Children in Emergency Relief Fund. They have a combo package of a signed copy of The Shifter and a first chapter critique (by me) up for auction until April 2, 11am EST. The chapter can be any genre or market.

There are plenty of other wonderful things to bid on over there as well, so go take a peek. See what you can do to help out, and get cools books or great crits.

Also, Crits for Water starts today, and you can bid on critiques and help bring fresh water to the people who desperately need it. I'm donating a 2500 word critique and a query critique, and that auction will go live on April 6. (I'll have links to that on the 6th)

If you don't want a book or a crit but want to help out in some way, both sites have other ways you can help.

  1. What a wonderful way to help both the relief efforts and newer writers at the same time. I'll have to check those sites out.
