Blue Fire Blog Tour Day 2: Happy Release Day!

Part fugitive, part hero, fifteen-year-old Nya is barely staying ahead of the Duke of Baseer’s trackers. Wanted for a crime she didn’t mean to commit, she risks capture to protect every Taker she can find, determined to prevent the Duke from using them in his fiendish experiments. But resolve isn’t enough to protect any of them, and Nya soon realizes that the only way to keep them all out of the Duke’s clutches is to flee Geveg. Unfortunately, the Duke’s best tracker has other ideas.

Nya finds herself trapped in the last place she ever wanted to be, forced to trust the last people she ever thought she could. More is at stake than just the people of Geveg, and the closer she gets to uncovering the Duke’s plan, the more she discovers how critical she is to his victory. To save Geveg, she just might have to save Baseer—if she doesn’t destroy it first.

First Page Panda
You can get a sneak peek at the first page of Blue Fire. This is a fun new site where you can find the opening page of a lot of great books. They just launched it, but I suspect it'll be a nice way to browse for books.

  4. Congrats!!

Absolutely, you're entitled to wear your sales hat today! I've read a lot lately on the fine line between marketing your books and sounding like a used car salesman, but I've always thought you strike just the right balance on your blog. I can't tell you the number of your blog posts that I've starred in Google Reader so I can review them again later. When you take a break from your writing tips to remind us you have a book coming out, I think most of us feel like we're sharing in your excitement, not being advertised to.

  6. Happy Release Day! Just bought The Shifter yesterday from Amazon after sitting on it for a bit. Now I want to read Blue Fire but can't until I read The Shifter, so that's why I bought it.

  9. Aw, thanks everyone! I've checked on the missing post, so hopefully I find out what happened soon. Either I got the date wrong or she forgot, which happens :) Worst case I'll re-post it it here after the tour.

And thanks Khanada. That's how I feel about it actually.
