Let Me Ask You...

I've been thinking about doing some recurring topics for the blog, so I thought I'd toss it out to you guys and see if there was something you'd like to see be made a "regular feature" so to speak.

Like, maybe a Six Questions With... feature once a month with interviews with writers and other publishing professionals.

Or a How To... with weekly tips on something everyone has trouble with.

Maybe Re-write Wednesdays, where it's all about editing.

Or Totally Awesome Tuesdays where I review a book I loved from a writer's perspective like I did with Books That Wow'd Me.

Anything sound good to ya'll? Is there anything you'd like to see on a regular basis?

  1. I think a How To would be cool. I have definitely gained some knowledge and insight of the writing process from your instructional posts in the past. A weekly interview with someone in the industry would also be pretty cool. Actually, I'd be happy with any of those ideas.

  2. I agree w/ ColinF, any of the above look great. I love the review from a writer's perspective of whatever you're reading.

Another regular thing that would be cool might be having a business feature, like things that aren't the craft of writing related but business side of writing related. Like the terms, types of things we should be on top of even if we're not anywhere close to being published, etc. Hmmm, I can't think of a catchy name for it though :(

    That's all I got so far :)

  3. I like all those ideas, but I think my favorite is the re-writing/editing one...I'd like to hear about this from an author with an agent and editor, it's an interesting process.

And I love editing. Weird, right? :)

  5. I like the idea of rewrite Wednesdays. Rewriting is something I and a lot of other people have trouble with, so I'm sure a lot of readers would appreciate getting weekly insight from someone who's done it and lived to talk about it afterwards.
