Writing Prompt: The Free Write: Moving On

By Janice Hardy, @Janice_Hardy

This week’s prompt is a free write, so take the seed below and run with it. It doesn’t have to turn into anything (unless you want it to, of course), just let the words flow and see where they go.

Write down this opening sentence and follow it wherever it goes:

Moving boxes was the last thing...

Write as much or as little as you’d like.

  1. ... Kennedy wanted to be doing at three in the morning.

    1. Especially when those boxes were filled with rotting heads. Sure, they weren't ALL human, but still. Their smell brought to his mind awfully detailed images of - not severed heads, funny enough - but a worm infested sewer.
Needless to say, it was a long night.

    2. If only she had a fork and some hot sause.

  2. Moving boxes were the last thing I expected to see flying out of a still life painting. But when the painter is the daughter of a world-class sorcerer, anything is possible.

  3. Moving boxes was the last thing Mikael remembered doing. He sat upright in the hospital bed, looking around the room, all morphine-eyed, with heightening curiosity as to how the hell he got here.
