Join children’s authors Donna Bowman, Janice Hardy, Robyn Hood Black and Heather Kolich for an informal conversation on research techniques and tools.
Donna Bowman, author of nonfiction books Big Cats, Did Dinosaurs Eat People? and What is the Moon Made Of?, will discuss finding and working with subject matter experts for manuscript review.
Janice Hardy, author of the fantasy series The Shifter, Blue Fire, and Darkfall, will explain why even fiction requires research.
Robyn Hood Black, author of Sir Mike and Wolves, will talk about going on-location to research for historical fiction—and how research is important for poetry.
Heather Kolich, freelance magazine writer, will share tips for interviewing subject matter experts and tools for organizing research.
Audience members are invited to share their own research experiences and tips.
