We've Got Launch Events Galore!

Party on dude!

A book launch is a great excuse to have a party, and I'm having three. Okay, maybe not three "parties" per se, but three events to celebrate the release of Darkfall and have an excuse to get together will all my writing friends (both on and offline).

For those in the North Georgia/Atlanta area, I have very different events to make it extra fun. You can pick which type of event you like most! And of course, you can always come to more than one if you want.

It's a Launch Party!
WHEN: September 24, 2011
TIME: 3pm to 5pm (or we all get tired and they close up shop)
WHERE: FoxTale Book Shoppe
105 East Main Street, #138
Woodstock, GA 30188
770-516-9989

Celebrate the Early Release of Darkfall
This one has the party atmosphere, with games and food and great conversations. As a special treat: those who attend can buy Darkfall before it officially goes on sale on October 4th. Plus there will be food, fun, and prizes.

Book Signing and Launch Event!
WHEN: October 8, 2011
TIME: 1pm to 3pm
WHERE: Barnes & Noble
The Avenue Forsyth
Building 200 Suite 252
410 Peachtree Pkwy
Cumming, GA 30041
770-781-0867

Darkfall Fun and Games
This one is kid friendly (but still fun for adults) with lots if activities and things to do. I'm getting the local schools involved with a writing and art contest and a performance of a scene from the book by some local drama students. There will also be face painting, hair braiding and other activities, including a trivia panel to see how much you know about the trilogy. (Yes, there will be prizes here too)

Book Signing at the Read-A-Thon!
WHEN: October 22, 2011
TIME: 1-2pm
WHERE: Hall Book Exchange
1854 Thompson Bridge Rd.
Gainesville,GA

Read for Charity
This is a more intimate event at Hall Book Exchange during their an annual 24 hour Read-a-Thon benefiting the Gainesville/Hall County Alliance for Literacy. Their back room is full of cozy chairs so you can curl up and gab. Great for really getting to know your author.

Mark your calendars, and I hope to see some of you there!

  1. Sounds awesome. Wish I lived close enough to come. Perhaps after you could do a post about what worked for your book signings.

  6. Ah!!! I have four different places I'm supposed to be on the 24th. Maybe I'll skip them all and drive down with my girls. I'd rather get my copy of Darkfall early. :)

  8. Thanks all! I wish there was a way to include everyone in these events. Maybe I need to take a poll and see where I should visit in the future :) They used to be a website that did that for you but I think they went out of business.
