I really hope your book on revising your novel can help me. After I finished it I put some emotional distance between me and it. Only last week did I look at it again. I'm telling far more than I'm showing, and the whole thing can do with a rigid outline. The idea is still ok but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, too. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from other authors, so it should help you out :)
DeleteTelling is a very common issue, and it can take some time to train yourself out of doing it.
Ideas are the harder part. Execution you can learn. Good luck on your revision!
