If you don't mind the shout out, let me recommend my editor, Kaycee Hawn, of Renaissance Wordsmith. She does both line and substantive editing. She is excellent! www.renwordsmith.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05027429170728547221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-81505896842040579102011-12-29T18:44:12.302-05:002011-12-29T18:44:12.302-05:00Great advice for starting 2012! :)Great advice for starting 2012! :)Ceridwen Taliesinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11447235590042279787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-70240360671394690642011-12-29T17:51:06.265-05:002011-12-29T17:51:06.265-05:00Hi, thanks for your thoughts - passion is an absol...Hi, thanks for your thoughts - passion is an absolute must for writers. And finding your own way - also true, though I'd qualify that as 'finding your own way with due knowledge of the conventions and rules'. Good luck with the editing. Always the best part of the finishing process, for me at least.

Matthew Wright
http://mjwrightnz.wordpress.com
www.matthewwright.netMatthew Wrighthttp://mjwrightnz.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-43193101295142352712011-12-28T06:51:14.278-05:002011-12-28T06:51:14.278-05:00Hi Daniel

I hate the idea of not finishing this process, whether i get published or not

Finish what you begin, so important!

Matt (Turndog Millionaire)Turndog Millionairehttp://www.turndog-millionaire.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-24112160799513534882011-12-27T10:17:23.202-05:002011-12-27T10:17:23.202-05:00Thanks for the comments everyone and a heartfelt T...Thanks for the comments everyone and a heartfelt THANKS to Janice for graciously giving me this opportunity here today. I not only follow Janice in social media but have been a fan and reader of her blog, this blog, and have been greatly enriched by the posts here. Janice is an accomplished author in her own right and her selfless efforts to share and to teach have helped my writing and given it depth. True, I have been around the block a couple of times, as they say, but as a writer with an eye on competing in the huge marketplace of book sales, well, better writing usually sells more books and that is my goal.Daniel Audethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10942204805464741810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-37103212852668997112011-12-27T10:15:44.457-05:002011-12-27T10:15:44.457-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Daniel Audethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10942204805464741810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901370917824739259.post-57365649196843785352011-12-27T09:59:41.083-05:002011-12-27T09:59:41.083-05:00I love your post here. It drives me crazy! I love what you said about "No race car driver can also be his own mechanic, and he'll never win any races without a good one."

I appreciate your advice and perspective on writing. Your journey is inspiring. Your passion definitely comes through.
