Writing Prompt: The Free Write: The Red Dress

By Janice Hardy, @Janice_Hardy

This week’s prompt is a free write, so take the seed below and run with it. It doesn’t have to turn into anything, just let the words flow and see where they go.

Continue this opening sentence:

He remembered the red dress, but not the woman wearing it.

Write as much or as little as you’d like.

  2. He remembered the red dress, but not the woman wearing it. The care, the support, he remembered that. His companion, advisor, co-leader of a great country - of our country. A shining city upon a hill.

And with her there as she has always been, in her red dress, he remembers now.
