Marketing: Online

While the big title books get a marketing budget from the publisher, for smaller books and smaller budgets, the author is in a position to contribute a lot personally.  Raising awareness is the key, but how do we do that?

Online marketing is a great way to contribute to your book's success without spending a lot of money.  You can do a lot with your computer, Internet access and some time to put into it.

The first thing you may want to consider is your online presence.  Who are you, how do you present yourself and how do you reach the right people to help get the word out about your book.

Blog tours have been heralded as a way to spread the word about your books, you as an author and to bring visitors to your other online content such as a blog.  What is a blog tour?  How can you do it effectively?
